October 1995 was designated at "National Stamp Collecting Month". To commemorate this event, the United States Postal Service issue a sheet of twenty "Comic Strip Classics". Scott issued number 3000 to the sheet, with sub letters "a" through "t" to designate the individual stamps.

The Kingdom Philatelic Association devised a cachet for the National Stamp Collecting Month, utilizing various Comic Strip Classics stamps, that was issued 25 October 1995.
