PERFORMANCE CARBURETORS
PLEASE
READ THE SECTION ON CARBURETOR SELECTION REGARDING LEGALITY FOR 1968 AND NEWER
STREET VEHICLES.
CARTER |
HOLLEY | ROCHESTER
We currently have the following high performance aftermarket carburetors for sale.
500
CFM – Carter AFB 9511 electric choke, Chrysler linkage, for ‘square bore’
manifolds. SOLD OUT
This carburetor was originally designed by Carter as a replacement for Chrysler 273 and 318 CID engines with 4 barrel carburetor. The units we have for sale are unsold new old stock. They come in the original Carter box with installation instructions, and installation parts package. Price is $400.00 plus shipping via UPS. As we cannot replace these carburetors, sales are limited to the quantity on hand.
800 CFM – Carter Thermoquad 9800 electric choke, GM linkage, for ‘spread bore’ manifolds.
This carburetor was originally designed by Carter as a replacement for GM spread-bore carburetors. In most cases, it will bolt on to the original manifold. Original air cleaners do NOT always fit, as the TQ has 2 large bowl areas (one on either side), and the original carburetor had one bowl area in the front. The wrap-around style air cleaners require a spacer (generally 3/8 inch is sufficient) between carburetor and air cleaner. As these carburetors have 50 CFM more on the primary side than most of the original carburetors, we have found street performance to be much improved on 454, and 455 CID engines. Another excellent application is 350 CID pickups that are actually used as trucks. The units we have for sale are unsold stock which was factory reconditioned by Carter. They come in the original Carter box with installation instructions, and installation parts package. Price is $400.00. As we cannot replace these carburetors, sales are limited to the quantity on hand.
