RESTORATION The Carburetor Shop offers restoration on most U.S.A. produced carburetors through model year 1974. Restoration means return to original condition. This includes electroplating for steel parts, chromate coating for zinc alloy parts, oxide coatings for cast iron parts. We do only complete, cosmetic, and mechanical restorations. Before 'throwing rocks' at your carburetor, it is a good idea to check other items first. One of the major carburetor companies once found that 93 % of all carburetor complaints were caused by other than carburetor problems. Defective compression, vacuum leaks, and defective ignition can all cause symptoms similar to carburetor problems. One item frequently overlooked are the spark plug wires. |
